Highly regarded offensive lineman Gecova Doyal is among the latest selections for the 2027 adidas Polynesian Bowl, it was announced Tuesday. The three-star prospect from Puyallup (Wash.) High will cap off his stellar scholastic career with the prestigious all-star game next January, and he is thrilled to be able to represent his culture on the grand stage.
“Being selected for the adidas Polynesian Bowl means a lot to me because it’s an opportunity to represent not only myself and my family, but also my culture,” Doyal told 247Sports. “Being Samoan, I take a lot of pride in where I come from and being chosen for this game allows me to represent both communities on a big stage. It’s an honor to compete alongside some of the best players and show the hard work and dedication that got me here.”
On the recruiting front, Doyal is among the most coveted line prospects out West entering the summer. It’s two down, two to go from a visit standpoint.
