Davion Thompson, the No. 21 overall recruit in the 2027 class, is set to announce his college decision next Wednesday. The 6-foot-2 guard from Branson (Mo.) Link Academy will choose between Arkansas, Baylor, Michigan and Vanderbilt.
A skilled, dynamic left-handed guard, Thompson ranks among the cycle’s top scorers and playmakers. He is a prolific 3-point shooter off the catch and pull, with deep range and the ability to use his gravity to collapse defenses, attack off the dribble, and finish inside or create for teammates.
Through seven Nike EYBL games with MeanStreets this spring, Thompson has averaged 21.7 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists while shooting 51.9% from 3 on 7.7 attempts per game. His talent and feel for the game project him to be a highly impactful college guard, possessing a high floor.
