Thankfully for fans, 247Sports doesn’t have a salary cap to manage or a roster to construct. Instead, our rankings are designed to identify the next wave of difference-makers in the sport and after a busy few months we’re ready to give the Top247 for the class of 2027 a much-needed update.
Leading off the new-look Top247 is our first full 32-player, five-star field of the cycle. Are we ready to carve it in stone? No, not with the all-important senior seasons right around the corner. But after attending camps, tournaments and showcases around the country and sifting through all of the new data, we have a much better idea of who really has a chance to be the best of the best in the class.

In addition to the five-stars, more than two dozen new prospects now hold a blue-chip designation in the rankings. That number will continue to grow entering December’s Signing Day with a pair of fall updates on the calendar before things are finalized following January’s major all-star games.
