Recruitments remain wide open for the updated top five prospects in the 2027 college basketball class, but leaders are starting to emerge for high school basketball’s elite — including five-star power forward Marcus Spears Jr. and point guard Beckham Black.
247Sports director of basketball Eric Bossi and national recruiting analyst Travis Branham shared the latest intel on Spears and Black, along with the rest of the top five: CJ Rosser, Adan Diggs, and Demarcus Henry. The updated 247Sports Top 150 for the 2027 class dropped last week with Spears holding steady at No. 1, Black jumping Rosser and Henry cracking the top five for the first time.
