Morgan Rielly submits a list to teams he’d waive his no-movement clause for
Darren Dreger: J.P. Barry, the agent for Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly, submitted a list of four Western based teams that Rielly would be willing to waive his no-movement clause for.
Depending on the fit, it will be a team-by-team assessment, so there could be a little flexibility to add other teams to their list.
Chris Johnston: Even after the Buffalo Sabres clear out some salary cap space with the Bowen Byram and Jordan Greenway trade, the sense last night was that it won’t change the direction of the contract talks with Alex Tuch. He’s expected to test free agency.
NHL Rumors: Blue Jackets, Stars, Canucks, and the Canadiens
It will be a nervous offseason for Columbus Blue Jackets fans
NHL Rumour Report: Pierre LeBrun on TSN OverDrive on Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Zach Werenski: “I think it’s certainly very possible that at some point before the end of the summer that it’s communicated maybe to Columbus that…we don’t think we’re gonna sign an extension.”
A Jamie Drysdale extension will eventually get done
Andy Strickland: The Philadelphia Flyers and pending RFA defenseman Jamie Drysdale are working on an extension. It’s not done yet, but it will get done.
Status quo for the Edmonton Oilers and Darnell Nurse
Jason Gregor: There hasn’t been much change on the Darnell Nurse trade front. The Edmonton Oilers won’t just give him away. They’ve spoken to the teams on his shortlist, and they are just waiting. With the draft approaching and other moves being made, things can change quickly.
Newly hired assistant coach, DJ Smith, coached Nurse at the World Championships and was very complimentary of Nurse’s play.
Will Nurse need to expand his list to get a deal done?
NHL Rumors: Werenski, Tuch, Byram, Hellebuyck, Larkin, Knies and Robertson
The West may work for DeBrusk, nothing off the table for Elias Pettersson, and not a strong market for Brock Boeser
Irfaan Gaffar: Believe that the ideal spot for Jake DeBrusk would be another team in the West.
Despite the term and money left on Elias Pettersson‘s contract, don’t think anything is off the table for the Vancouver Canucks to try and move him.
It’s not sounding like the trade market for Brock Boeser is very high right now. Things can always change on that front.
