Exactly a month after embarking on a dizzying three-city tour which ultimately shaped the select group of finalists, elite defensive lineman Marcus Fakatou has announced for Ohio State.
It’s a defining win for the Buckeyes, who got the first official visit from the Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon blue-chipper and had to weather subsequent trips to Georgia and Texas.
Fakatou saw all three teams up close over the course of 10 days, and then promptly canceled scheduled visits with Oregon and Notre Dame. In reality, the visit to The Horseshoe proved to be the determinant.
