Perhaps we should have seen this coming, but strange things sometimes happen on the recruiting trail.

It feels like Jett Harrison, the five-star wide receiver from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was destined to end up with the Ohio State Buckeyes, though.

The son of Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Marvin Harrison, Jett is also the brother of former Ohio State great Marvin Harrison Jr., who starred in Columbus from 2021 to 2023.

The elder Harrison played at Syracuse in the late 90s, but Harrison Jr. became the No. 4 overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft because of what he did during his time with the Buckeyes.

That’s why Jett Harrison’s commitment to Ohio State makes so much sense. Despite also having an interest in the Oregon Ducks and Miami Hurricanes, Jett decided to follow in his older brother’s footsteps with the Buckeyes.

Despite being a 2028 recruit and thus having plenty of time to actually lock things in, Harrison committed to OSU on Wednesday.
