Once committed to Indiana, Cincinnati (Ohio) Princeton Top247 cornerback Monsanna Torbert Jr. has made his second and final commitment, which has him set to play for the Michigan Wolverines. Despite a push from the in-state Ohio State Buckeyes, the 5-11, 175-pounder from the class of 2027 will take his talent to Ann Arbor for his college career.
247Sports ranks Torbert as one of the top players in the nation. He is listed as the No. 102 overall player in the country, No. 12 cornerback in America, and No. 6 prospect in his home state. Torbert’s ranking has him slotted as the No. 2 player on Michigan’s commit list behind only Top100 offensive tackle Jakari Lipsey, the No. 36 overall player in the nation.
So, why Michigan? What led him to become a Wolverine commit? Why is he fired up to play for head coach Kyle Whittingham?
Here is what Torbert told 247Sports.
