For Eli Junior Kroupi, the 2025/26 season is one of that will live long in the memory. A rampant campaign has seen him attract the interest of some of Europe’s elite clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur.

The Lilywhites are planning an £85m bid to prise him away from the Vitality Stadium but it will not be easy to get this one done.

Bournemouth do not want to sell and he has has plenty of suitors. After all, he is one of the best young strikers on the planet right now.

Last term, the Frenchman scored 13 goals. For context, no teenager has ever scored more during their debut Premier League season. The 19-year-old is a mighty fine young talent.

That said, he’s not the only vibrant forward on Tottenham’s radar this summer.

Spurs looking to sign one of Europe’s biggest starlets

This has been an almighty summer of spending for Spurs but it is not set to stop there. If they were able to seal the signing of Kroupi for £85m it would be as equally impressive as the £100m transfer for Sandro Tonali.

Roberto De Zerbi has already strengthened the defence and the midfield but the next task is to give him more dynamism in the final third.

Alongside Kroupi, the Lilywhites are targeting deals for AC Milan’s dazzling winger Rafael Leao while Manchester City’s Omar Marmoush and Savinho have also been looked at.

Adding to their shortlist of wingers is Norwegian superstar Antonio Nusa. That’s according to reputable Spurs insider Szyexcl, the same channel that reported on the Mateus Fernandes saga so accurately.

They report suggests that while Spurs have held ‘positive talks’ with Leao’s camp, they have also opened talks with Nusa’s representatives in recent weeks.

It is noted that that his camp were approached ‘a few weeks back’ but at the moment, Leao is the priority target.

Currently at German side RB Leipzig, it has previously been revealed that it could take as much as £52m to lure him to the Premier League.

Why Antonio Nusa is as exciting as Junior Kroupi

Right now, there are very few more exciting young footballers in world football than Kroupi. His first campaign in England was simply electric and he didn’t just bamboozle the worst defences in the league.

Indeed, this is a player who scored that famous goal against Manchester City that secured Arsenal the title. He also scored twice against the Gunners and found the net in both games versus Manchester United. Spurs were the victims of his goalscoring prowess too.

Possessing pace, flair, trickery and a ruthless nature in front of goal, there are very few better teenagers in Europe’s top five leagues right now.

That said, Nusa is very much part of a similar conversation. At Leipzig last term, all of the attention was being pointed in the direction of Yan Diomande. The Ivory Coast winger is one of the most coveted players in the transfer window this summer and he looks set to leave Germany behind.

Diomande bagged 13 goals and supplied ten assists for his teammates but while the Ivorian was doing that, Nusa was also starring on the opposing left flank. Truthfully, a tally of five goals and four assists in 35 matches does not tell the full story for the 21-year-old.

Indeed, like Diomande, this is one of the most exciting young wingers on the continent right now. As far as what the future holds, he could be right up there alongside Kroupi for talent.

After all, the Norwegian – who has scored for his country at the World Cup – has already been labelled by writer and analyst Harvey Diamonds as a player with “the potential to become a £100m+ winger.”

Detailing his development in Norway, Gaute Nilsen who oversees youth development at Stabaek, once said: “Erling Haaland has developed a lot but when they were both 14 or 15 years old I think Antonio [Nusa] was a bigger talent.” Fine words indeed.

So, why all the hype? Well, he has explosive pace and his direct nature is second to very few. Among wingers in Europe’s top five leagues last season, Nusa ranked among the top 5% for successful dribbles per 90 minutes with 3.01. He also sat among the finest 5% for progressive carries with 5.31 per 90. The wide man was also ranked among the best 6% for shot-ending carries. In that regard, you could say he’s a lot like Heung-min Son.

A carry is considered progressive if the ball is moved towards the opponent’s goal at least 10 yards from its starting point or is carried into the penalty area.

Still just 21, like Kroupi, he has his whole career ahead of him and it would be truly exciting to see the pair of them in the same attack at Spurs. Their forward line could be sorted for the next decade.
