Canadian rapper Drake has placed a $1 million bet on former UFC double champion Conor McGregor to beat Max Holloway this weekend.
McGregor is returning to the octagon after a five-year hiatus to run it back with Holloway in the main event of UFC 329.
Early today, during the ceremonial weigh-ins, “The Notorious” came in at 170.5 pounds. He looked in great shape despite the long layoff. Meanwhile, Holloway came in at 170 pounds for his welterweight debut.
Drake puts $1 million bet on Conor McGregor
After both UFC 329 main event fighters successfully made weight, Drizzy placed a $1 million bet on Conor McGregor to defeat Max Holloway once again. The Canadian rapper shared the betting slip on his Instagram, revealing the wager. He also sent a message to “The Notorious.”
“THE MAC IS BACK?!?!?? The proper twelve drinking, tailored suit wearing, Lambo Yacht riding man with the Dubai tan that once had both belts in both hands…Say less @stake.”

While the infamous “Drake Curse” has often lived up to its reputation, with many fighters and teams he backs ending up on the losing side, there have also been occasions when his bets have paid off. On Saturday night at UFC 329, fans will once again find out whether the curse is real or just a coincidence.
On UFC 329 fight week, when Max Holloway was asked if he knew who Drake was going to put his money on, “Blessed” said: “I don’t know, man,” before adding:
“If Drake does bet, bet on McGregor though; you know how his betting goes.” [via Full Send MMA]
