Just like that, another batch of players are available in the transfer portal following the Georgia lawsuit, granting more than 10 players an injunction against the NCAA.
The ruling grants another season of eligibility for those involved in the lawsuit against the age-based eligibility rule that the NCAA rolled out this summer.
The players in the Georgia case join those from the Tennessee and Ohio cases as those receiving injunctions, granting them the ability to enter the portal, find a new school (or return) and play another season of college basketball.
Cases remain ongoing around the country in states including California, West Virginia and North Carolina, comprising of more than 50 players seeking to play another year of college basketball.
Notably, the case in Colorado granted a blanket waiver across the entire class of 2022 but given the chaos surrounding the case, we are focusing on the state injunctions in which individual players have filed complaints.
The Georgia case has four players ready and able to contribute to high-major basketball next season.
