For years, G6 programs sold recruits on early playing time, player development and a path to the NFL. Those things still matter, but in today’s college football landscape, some schools are embracing a different reality.
Instead of pretending the transfer portal doesn’t exist, they’re using it as a selling point.
247Sports spoke with several Group of Six commitments about their recruitments. While not every staff approaches things this way, multiple prospects said coaches openly discussed the possibility of eventually transferring to a Power Four program — and in some cases encouraged them to do it.
