Syracuse landed a steal when they took a commitment last October from Jacksonville (Fla.) Zarephath Academy offensive tackle Omari Lawson.
The Orange were his first offer, four months before any other program entered the mix. That early belief in his services is a primary reason why he made the decision to give head coach Fran Brown his pledge last fall.
While he remains in the class 10 months later, dozens of other schools have offered and are heavily pursuing him.
