The 2029 recruiting cycle is still in its early stages, but the state of Florida is already home to an impressive collection of talent at the top of the class.

From a 6-foot-3, 330-pound defensive lineman who also stars as a jumbo running back to a defensive back approaching 50 scholarship offers, the top of the Sunshine State’s 2029 class features plenty of unique stories.

The top five players in the state come from different backgrounds and have taken different paths to this point. Some have been around football their entire lives, while others are relatively new to the game. Some already have a clear idea of what they want from their recruitment, while others are taking a much more patient approach.
