Brayton Feister is the 247Sports Preseason Player of the Year in Ohio for high school football’s 2026 season.
The 6-foot-2, 238-pounder is a senior athlete from Massillon (Ohio) Washington.
“Feister is going to go down as one of the best high school football players in the senior class,” said 247Sports director of scouting Andrew Ivins. “We ranked as a four-star prospect when he had just five offers primarily because we believed in his win-at-all-cost mindset, on both sides of the ball. He’s a stat keeper’s nightmare and just one of those kids that hates to lose.”
Added 247Sports national scouting analyst Hudson Standish:
“An absolute freakshow with an opportunity to put up ridiculous senior season production at both linebacker and running back for one of the best teams in the state of Ohio. Feister has always been an elite combine tester with unique explosive capabilities, but heading into his senior season the Oregon commit has developed into a well-rounded second-level playmaker with no shortage of long-term upside.”
Feister was absolutely dominant as a junior. He had 133 total tackles and 13 sacks on defense, along with 1,100 yards on offense and with 19 total touchdowns. Few can match what he does on the football field each and every week. Look for him to repeat those numbers this fall, but don’t be shocked if he takes things up another notch.
Ahead of his senior season, Feister has seen his recruitment come to a close. He announced his Oregon commitment Aug. 14. He chose to play for coach Dan Lanning over offers from California, Georgia, Auburn and Ohio State, among others. Oregon is the “best place” to develop, on and off the field, Feister said.
“Oregon fans can expect me to bring everything I have every single day,” he told 247Sports earlier this month. “I’m going to compete, work, and do whatever it takes to help this team win. I want to be someone my teammates can count on, and I want to represent Oregon the right way on and off the field. I’m hungry to get there, learn from the guys around me, and continue developing. I’m going to give Ducks fans a player who plays with passion, toughness, and a lot of pride every time I step on the field. Also, God willing, when my time with Oregon is done, be the first first-round linebacker taken from Oregon.”
