Punahou leads list of high schools with most state championships

La Salle Academy captured 14 state championships in 2025-26 to up its total to 372 — still nearly 200 behind Punahou.

state association sites. Non-athletic state championships (such as one-act
play and literary) are not included but unified and adaptive categories
are included along with cheerleading, riflery and eSports and robotics. Tournament
of champions titles are not included.
