Earlier this week, Noblesville (Ind.) High three-star offensive tackle Mason McDermott committed to Indiana. The timing and the destination weren’t a surprise, as most expected the 6-7, 285-pounder to one day pledge to the Hoosiers.
McDermott has been a priority target for head coach Curt Cignetti and his staff for a long time. The Hoosiers were going to do everything in their power to make sure he stayed in-state and continued his career in Bloomington. All that hard work paid off when the No. 7 player in his home state decided to play at Indiana.
So, how did the Hoosiers get it done? Why is Cignetti the coach McDermott wants to play for?
All that and more in his interview with 247Sports.
