The biggest postseason events in high school basketball — the McDonald’s All-American Game, Chipotle Nationals, Nike Hoop Summit and Jordan Brand Classic — are now behind us. With those, the 2025-26 season is essentially done and that means we’re going to be wrapping up our national 2026 rankings.
Before we release the rankings in their totality though, we’re going to start with the three players who will finish atop the class.
Tyran Stokes will end his high school career as the No. 1-ranked prospect in the national class. While the past four years have had their fair share of highs and lows, there has been a constant, and that’s that his sheer talent is on another level. He’s got the body of a forward and the playmaking skills of a guard. He’s a big-time athlete, has magnetic hands, instinctual improvisation on his way to the rim, floor vision, and raw power. The bottom line is that if and when everyone in the class is at their best, both now and in the future, Stokes is superior.
