During his lone season at Duke, Boozer averaged 22.5 points, 10.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists per contest while shooting 55.6 percent from the field, 39.1 percent from 3-point range and 78.9 percent from the free throw line.
Prospect Report Card
Stats/accomplishments: Averaged a double-double all four seasons with career tallies of 21.1 points, 11.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists per contest. Boozer is arguably the most accomplished high school basketball player of all-time with three consecutive Peach Jam titles, two gold medals with USA Basketball and two MaxPreps National Player of the Year awards.
Outstanding achievement: Went off for a career-high 40 points on 13 of 18 from the field and 11 of 11 from the free throw line in a blowout victory over Ace Bailey-led McEachern (Powder Springs, Ga.). He earned co-MVP honors in the McDonald’s All American Game with 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Needs work: The biggest questions surrounding Boozer are mainly around his athleticism and defensive mobility. Boozer will need to work on his quickness to avoid being a defensive liability against the top players at his position.
Best fit/likely landing spot: It appears the 2026 Men’s National College Player of the Year will be selected by the Memphis Grizzlies at No. 3 or Chicago Bulls at No. 4. At either destination, Boozer would immediately be looked at as the No. 1 option during his rookie campaign as he looks to turn around a struggling franchise.
