Most Power Four starting quarterbacks command well into seven figures, and well beyond the low stretches of that figure at many programs. The transfer portal had many starters commanding well over $2 million for a season, and highly-rated high school quarterbacks command in the upper six figures or low seven figures for their freshman seasons.

Tabor Academy last week, but it has a major impact on the quarterback the Hokies are able to land in the 2028 class after they signed transfers Ethan Grunkemeyer and Bryce Baker and 2026 recruit Troy Huhn this past winter.
