Outside of the top ten uncommitted players, there is still plenty of talent around the state of Florida who has yet to make their college choice.
From top prospects on flip watch to schools making big moves behind the scenes, plenty is developing on the recruiting trail throughout the Sunshine State.
An updated heat check ahead of the most pivotal recruiting month of the cycle:
+ I think it is more likely than not that Ruskin (Fla.) Lennard four-star defensive back Mekhi Williams flips from Florida State. Wisconsin and LSU are the two prime contenders looking to make that happen. If the Tigers continue to value him, they could be tough to beat.
+ Clemson has made a big move behind the scenes with four-star edge Desmond Malpress of Jacksonville (Fla.) Atlantic Coast. I view them and South Carolina as the top programs for Malpress.
+ Three-star cornerback Jaden Carey is a member of the Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas ‘Fab Five’ and is one of two prospects in that group that has yet to make his college decision. He sees three schools this summer for official visits: Miami, Auburn and Ohio State. As things stand, I am keeping an eye on the Buckeyes heading into a pivotal month of visits for the South Florida defensive back.
