Florida State has a chance to close out its long-standing recruitment of four-star wide receiver Sean Green this weekend.

The product out of Camden County High in Southeast Georgia is coming off an official visit to in-state Georgia — “it was great,” Green said — but the fact he is making it to Tallahassee this weekend for his official should be telling about the Seminoles’ remaining firmly in this recruitment.

FSU will enter a negotiation window this weekend with Green to see if it can reach an agreement with NIL and/or revenue sharing that makes both sides feel comfortable committing to one another.

“I want to see how I look in the garnet,” Green said. “I’ve been there a couple times now, I know a lot of things about the program, its history. Right now, it’s about the whole NIL part of it and the contract.”

There’s work “to be determined” in that regard, Green told 247Sports. But when asked if there was a chance for FSU to legitimately close the recruitment out this weekend if things went well, Green said  “most definitely.”

The Seminoles offered the explosive receiver last May. Since then, Green has taken four visits to FSU and has gotten to know offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Tim Harris Jr. well.

“It makes me feel good, I’d love to go to a college I know a lot about,” Green said. “Knowing that Coach Harris just got promoted to the offensive coordinator can help me out in the scheme. Knowing that he’ll get me the ball in games, it’s an advantage when the wide receiver coach is the OC.”

Green’s visit officially begins on Friday and will go through Sunday.

He holds a 90 rating from 247Sports, which ranks Green as the No. 181 prospect nationally. Comparatively, Green is No. 290 in the Industry Composite.

Georgia is believed to have legitimately liked his progress over this offseason. Virginia also made a push late in the process, scheduling an official visit with him on June 11.

Now we’ll see if FSU and Green can come to terms and stifle any future visit plans.
