After a seven-year hiatus, The Opening Finals returns as 120 of high school football’s top prospects head to the Nike campus in Oregon for three days of competition, instruction and recruiting exposure.
The event is slated for June 24-26 and features the country’s most highly-regarded players from the Class of 2027 and standout underclassmen. Athletes earned invitations through a series of regional events held across the United States earlier this year.
Since its launch in 2011, more than 40 players who have participate in the event have gone on to be selected in the NFL Draft, including Saquon Barkley, Ja’Marr Chase, Derrick Henry and Patrick Surtain II.
Players will participate in testing, position drills, one-on-one competitions and 7-on-7 action while performing in front of recruiting analysts and college evaluators. Nike has also emphasized branding and name, image and likeness opportunities as part of the event’s relaunch.
