The St. Louis Blues weren’t on Brady’s list

Matthew DeFranks: St. Louis Blues GM Doug Armstrong on Brady Tkachuk: “With the player that got traded yesterday, we knew he was available. We inquired about him. We were told we weren’t on the list. That’s the end. You can’t create something that’s not there.”

What Will the Carolina Hurricanes Do In Net?

The Buffalo Sabres are going to need to find some offseason. Trading Bowen Byram could help with that

The Fourth Period: The Buffalo Sabres are going to need to find some offense, a top-six forward, especially if Alex Tuch hits free agency. They could use Bowen Byram as a trade chips. He’s looking for eight figures on his next deal.

Ryan Paton: “Free agency officially starts July one. The more that time continues, the more likely it is that Alex Tuch is going to hit the free agent market. If he does leave, that leaves a hole, certainly, Dave in Buffalo. Does moving someone like a Bowen Byram net them a replacement for Tuch up front?

Pagnotta: “Well, his name is starting to percolate a little bit more out there in Buffalo. We had heard some rumblings over Owen Power, but it’s getting a lot louder with respect to Byram. And if Tuch does leave, and as of now, all signs point to him going to free agency, they’re going to need to replace that in some capacity.

The Ottawa Senators Will be Looking to Add, After Dealing Brady Tkachuk for Futures

Now we know Zach Benson is going to get more responsibility and more opportunity, but they’re still going to need to look to see if they can bring somebody in in that top-six. And moving Byram, who’s looking for over $10 million per year on an extension, by the way. He’s got one year left on his current deal. Moving him out by bringing in offense might be a fit there.

I am curious about the Ducks and Mason McTavish, with him being available, that might be a match that could work, or something along those lines from the Sabers perspective.
