Many elite players have come through South Bend over the years, but only a few running backs for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish have hit the 3,000-plus-yard mark.

It’s a small list. At the top of it is Autry Detson, who put up 4,318 total rushing yards from 1995 to 1998. Checking in at No. 6 and still holding onto that spot despite two incredible seasons from Jeremiyah Love is Julius Jones, who rushed for 3,018 total yards for Notre Dame from 1993 to 2003.

Jones is one of the greats ever to do it for the Golden Domers, so it’s no surprise that his sons, top football recruits in their own right, have committed to Notre Dame.

First was 2027 four-star wideout recruit  Julius Jones Jr., who committed to Notre Dame over the Miami Hurricanes and Oregon Ducks.

Then followed younger brother Andre Jones, a four-star 2028 safety recruit. He committed to Notre Dame over the Indiana Hoosiers and UCLA Bruins.
