For his efforts, Oliver was named MaxPreps National Sophomore of the Year. The four-star USC commit announced in May that he was reclassifying from the Class of 2028 to the Class of 2027, putting him on an accelerated path after his dominant campaign last fall.
Oliver helped lead Hamilton to an 11-1 record in 2025 and the Huskies return plenty of talent as they pursue their first state championship since 2012. Among the key returners is four-star quarterback Jaxson Sculley, who threw for 2,947 yards and 41 touchdowns as a sophomore before suffering a season-ending injury in the regular-season finale against Chandler.
Oliver has been productive from the start of his high school career. As a freshman, he recorded 43 receptions for 861 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Athletic success runs in the family. His father, R.J. Oliver, starred at cornerback for Arizona State. His mother competed as a sprinter and jumper for the school’s track and field program. His grandfather also excelled in Tempe as a three-time All-American wrestler, and
Oliver committed to USC in March and was the only sophomore selected to the 2025 MaxPreps All-America Team. He joined fellow USC signees Trent Mosley and Boobie Feaster on the first team wide receiver unit.
