What is Jason Robertson wanting to do?
Sportsnet: Frank Seravalli, when asked where Jason Robertson wants to play, and what is he looking for?

Ivanka Osmak: “We know Jason Robertson does not want to play in Seattle for oodles and oodles of money. So, where does Jason Robertson want to play, and what will his contract be for?”
Seravalli: “Man, they have kept that under lock and key. I don’t know the answer to that. And I knew that they weren’t under pressure, the Dallas Stars were to make this move for Jason Robertson . Because in the end, ideally, they weren’t really looking for draft picks or futures. If they needed to operate that way, and as we just talked about, flip him. Well, that was one thing.
But the Stars, in moving on from a 40-plus goal, nearly 100-point player, they want something that can help them in their lineup this year as they go and chase the Stanley Cup again.
The Vancouver Canucks Remain Motivated to Trade Elias Pettersson
And so, clearly Robertson is trying to thread a needle here between getting paid, turning down $125 million from the Seattle Kraken, while also playing in a preferred destination with a chance to win. Usually, it’s one or the other. You either take the cake or you take the chance at Lord Stanley’s mug. I don’t know if Jason Robertson can get both.”
Will a Jason Robertson offer sheet be an out for the Dallas Stars?
TSN: Pierre LeBrun on Jason Robertson and where things could be heading now, after a couple of failed trades. Robertson wants to stay, but he could get an offer sheet, which could be a way for the Dallas Stars to get out of this situation.

Gino Reda: “The night before the draft on Thursday night, it looked like Jason Robertson was on his way from Dallas to Seattle. It looked like they had a deal in place; if he accepted the contract, they would pay him about $15 million a season, but then he said no. So, what now?
LeBrun: “Yeah, so the Dallas Stars immediately after getting that news that he wasn’t accepting a deal in Seattle. Spent the last 24 hours trying to re-engage with teams that had shown interest in trading for Jason Robertson.
But the problem is a lot of those teams saw what he turned down in Seattle, and I think it’s given some of them some pause. And so it’s at a bit of a standstill,
But two things to remember here. One, Jason Robertson wants to sign in Dallas. Let’s not lose the plot here. It’s just that he wants to sign at a certain number that Dallas doesn’t want to go to right now. Those talks, I’m told, continue. They have not stopped negotiating, so that’s one thing.
NHL Rumors: The Dallas Stars Are Facing a Market Reality for Jason Robertson
Number two, Wednesday is July 1st. That’s when you can drop an offer sheet on an RFA. And I know we tease that every year. I’m telling you, this is a real discussion here. It’s a possibility for Jason Robertson. At $15 million a year on a seven-year deal that will cost you four first-round picks. You know what, it could happen, and the Dallas Stars, that might be their get out of jail card if they get those for those four picks.
