Aston Villa readying move to sign Pedro Vite
According to El Telegrafo in Ecuador, as relayed by Sport Witness, Aston Villa are now readying an official offer to sign Vite from Mexican side UNAM Pumas this summer.
Pumas reportedly value their midfielder at no less than $10m (£9m), which is an affordable price for those in the Midlands. The Villans have been impressed with the 24-year-old at the World Cup and have already contacted his club about conditions to secure his signature.
Now that Ecuador are out of the tournament, the midfielder could be one to watch as Aston Villa attempt to accelerate their move.
Why Vite could become a genius addition at Aston Villa
The midfield market is threatening to go up in flames in the Premier League. Newcastle United are demanding £100m for Sandro Tonali, Bournemouth want similar for Alex Scott and Tottenham are about to sign Mateus Fernandes from relegated West Ham for £85m. Even Villa could get in on the act, valuing Rogers at £130m.
