Leeds United are willing to pay the full asking price to sign Zion Suzuki from Parma, and the full details of their contract offer have now been revealed.
Daniel Farke‘s side are looking to bring in a new goalkeeper this summer, with Lucas Perri failing to hit the heights expected of him in his debut campaign at Elland Road, being dropped by the manager during the business end of the season.
The search for a new shot-stopper has taken them to Suzuki, and they have been keen to wrap up a deal for the Japan World Cup star as soon as possible.

Leeds are known to be keen on a deal for Suzuki, and it would make sense to bring in a new goalkeeper, considering Karl Darlow is now 35-years-old and potentially in the latter stages of his career. |

A deal would be relatively expensive at £26m, but the Whites are willing to fork out the full asking price in order to secure the Parma star’s signature. |

Insight |
The 23-year-old made 20 Serie A appearances for Parma last season, keeping five clean sheets, while he has also received praise from Ben Mattinson. The Como scout described him as a “commanding cross claimer” and lauded him for his “excellent” distribution. |

Perri made just 16 Premier League appearances for Leeds last season, indicating Farke hasn’t been impressed by the Brazilian. Should Suzuki join, he could become the new number one, with Perri falling down the pecking order. |
Leeds willing to pay asking price for Zion Suzuki
According to a report from The Leeds Press, Leeds are prepared to pay the £26m asking price for the Japan international, who is expected to leave Parma this summer.
A lucrative contract offer has now been made, with the Whites pulling out all the stops to ensure they win the race for his signature, ahead of Serie A heavyweights Juventus.
Why Zion Suzuki could flourish at Elland Road
Having only been promoted to the Premier League in 2025, Leeds could well remain one of the weaker sides in the division next season, which would make them likely to face a lot of shots.
As such, Suzuki could be the ideal addition between the sticks, as he averaged 3.3 saves per 90 in the Serie A last season, which was the joint-third highest amount in the division.
The Japan star also stepped up to the plate at the World Cup, making four saves against both Brazil and Sweden.
At 23-years-old, Suzuki may not even have entered his peak years yet, whereas Darlow is in the latter stages of his career, so it is clear to see why the 49ers are going all out to get a deal done.
