Ace Leutele is chief among the more seasoned defenders out West regardless of class, having started on varsity at powerhouse Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei since his freshman year began.
More than 20 schools have joined the chase by offering the high-three-star safety, with handful of programs making the physical prospect feel like a major priority since the contact window for 2028 recruits opened June 15.
“Oklahoma has been real consistent,” Leutele told 247Sports. “Coach Todd Bates over there and all the coaches have me in a group chat, so they have been pushing hard. Their love has been real consistent, just keeping in touch throughout the process.
