Texas A&M notched a huge recruiting win back in June when Orlando (Fla.) Jones four-star edge rusher Frederick Ards committed to the Aggies over a host of other top suitors.
It marked another big win in the Sunshine State for head coach Mike Elko and his staff. Getting Ards to cancel previously scheduled summer official visits to Alabama and Florida was another important achievement for the Aggies in this recruitment.
Months have passed since his pledge and while the recruiting calendar has been in a dead period since the end of June, not permitting prospects to take visits, Ards remains firmly committed to Elko and TAMU.
