Frederick Ards is one of the nation’s most coveted edge rushers and he took the first official visit of his recruitment to South Carolina at the beginning of the month.
The Gamecocks have been a mainstay in Ards’ process but the official visit was a big step in their chances of landing the four-star edge out of Orlando (Fla.) Jones.
