Pell City (Ala.) High three-star linebacker Ba’Roc Willis announced his commitment to Colorado on Tuesday. The 6-3, 230-pounder from the class of 2027 chose the Buffaloes over offers from Alabama, Auburn, Georgia Tech, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Miami, and many others across the country.
Willis is a high three-star recruit per 247Sports. He is the No. 37 linebacker nationally and No. 20 prospect in Alabama. The industry-generated composite rankings have him a little lower as the No. 49 linebacker in America and No. 22 overall in his home state.
Following his official visit to Colorado, Willis came home and wanted to shut down his recruitment. He was ready to commit, which is exactly what he did during a conversation with head coach Deion Sanders. This is a big pickup for the Buffaloes.
So, how did Colorado get it done? What did the staff do to win over the coveted talent?
