The 2026 college football transfer portal has been closed for months, but the cycle itself has limped along into May. Some stragglers from the winter portal window are still looking for homes, a few Division II and III prospects continue to explore their options while teams look to fill holes on the backend of their rosters.
It’s a far less eventful spring than we’ve seen in the past with transfers, but that also makes it an excellent time to look back at the cycle in totality.
