Texas A&M’s dominance in Florida is becoming one of the biggest recruiting stories of the 2027 cycle.
For decades, Florida’s Big Three, as well as a number of prominent out-of-state programs like Alabama, Georgia and Clemson have treated the Sunshine State as their primary battleground. This cycle, however, Mike Elko and the Aggies have consistently walked into Florida and landed some of the state’s most coveted prospects.
The latest example came when Tampa (Fla.) Jesuit four-star linebacker Kaden Henderson joined Texas A&M’s No. 1 ranked recruiting class, giving the Aggies four commitments from Florida prospects currently ranked among the state’s top 10 players.
