It is just about time for Chicago Brother Rice Top247 defensive lineman Brayden Parks to announce his commitment. The 6-foot-3, 305-pounder has narrowed his recruitment to Notre Dame and Oregon and will announce his commitment Thursday at 5 p.m. ET on the CBS Sports College Football YouTube channel.
He ranks among the top players nationally at his position. 247Sports slots him as the country’s No. 161 overall prospect and No. 18 defensive lineman in addition to being Illinois’ No. 7 player.
On the recruiting front, Parks could have gone just about anywhere in the country. A ton of schools across the country offered the 2027 standout, including Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Texas A&M and USC, among others.
So, where will Parks end up? We know the final two — Notre Dame or Oregon.

“Having been offered scholarships from over 50 universities, you have to have a plan to narrow your options down,” Parks said.
