Darrell Davis has climbed the rankings to the No. 36 overall prospect in the 2027 class.
Despite his size at roughly 6-foot-1 and 160 pounds, Davis plays much bigger as a floor general who impacts winning for both Geneva (Ohio) Spire Academy and Team Thrill on the UAA Circuit.
His high basketball IQ, feel for the game, toughness, creativity with the ball and ability to elevate those around him have separated him from the pack and placed him among the top point guards in the country in a deep class at the position.
Coaches have taken notice, and his recruitment is beginning to heat up.
“It’s been going great,” Davis said of his recruitment. “Everything is going accordingly and working out in my favor.
“I’ve gotten the looks that I like, and I’m starting to narrow down my schools. I’m really enjoying the process.”
His next steps are to trim his list and begin scheduling official visits.
“I’m very close, but right now I have a good sense of who the main schools are,” he said when asked about when he plans to cut his list.
With the summer winding down, three programs have made Davis a priority throughout.
