Davion Thompson, who is currently the No. 21-ranked prospect in the national class of 2027, announced his Arkansas commitment Wednesday. He went public with his decision live on CBS Sports HQ and the CBS Sports College Basketball YouTube channel.

The 6-foot-2 point guard chose the Razorbacks from a group of finalists that included Michigan, Baylor and Vanderbilt.

For John Calipari, this commitment comes in the heels of a 2026 class that included the nation’s top-ranked guard, Jordan Smith Jr., as well as a pair of other top 15 prospects on the wing in JJ Andrews and Abdou Toure. Miikka Muurinen is a fourth five-star prospect in the class.

The Razorbacks do not yet hold another commitment in 2027.

Below is the full breakdown of Thompson’s game and his fit with Arkansas.
