Three-star cornerback AK Crumel of Clayton (N.C.) will announce his decision July 24. The 6-foot-1, 170-pounder will be one of the last top-rated prospects from the Tar Heel State in the 2027 class to make his college decision.
Crumel’s top eight includes SMU, Mississippi State, USC, N.C. State, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, and James Madison. Of that group, the Wolfpack Hokies, Yellow Jackets, Dukes, and Demon Deacons hosted him on official visits.
For months now, however, NC State, Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech have likely comprised Crumel’s top three.
