MaxPreps Game of the Week heads to Texas in late August as No. 10 Duncanville visits No. 18 Allen

ATLANTA — The MaxPreps Game of the Week returns to Texas on Friday, Aug. 28, when No. 10 Duncanville travels to No. 18 Allen in one of the nation’s premier high school football matchups.

The Duncanville-Allen matchup comes on the heels of the MaxPreps Game of the Week season premiere between No. 1 St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) and No. 2 Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas, Nev.) on Aug. 21.

Duncanville and Allen are two of the most tradition-rich programs in Texas. The schools have combined for eight state championships since 1998 and 10 MaxPreps Top 25 finishes in the past decade.

The MaxPreps Game of the Week highlights the country’s best high school football matchups while celebrating the athletes, coaches and communities that make Friday nights special. Throughout game week, MaxPreps will provide extensive coverage, including feature stories, player spotlights, rankings analysis, videos, photography, social media content and comprehensive game coverage.
