MaxPreps is highlighting some of that talent by breaking down the top 10 players at each position in the senior class. Today we put the focus on setters, true quarterbacks for their team that make the offense hum.
Earlier this week, we highlighted the top liberos and will look next at the hitters and middles. We are also unveiling the
Preseason MaxPreps All-America Team and the MaxPreps Top 25 before spotlighting the best team and player in each state.
Malorie Boesiger, Norris (Firth, Neb.)
5-10 | Committed to Nebraska
She
dished up 1,220 assists (12.0 per set) as the Titans went 36-1 with a
second straight Class B title. She had a bounce back season after
missing her sophomore campaign with an injury. In the final, Boesiger had 48
assists.
6-1 | Committed to LSU
The Panthers got 839 assists from Dostic as they reached the Class 7A final for the third straight season. Her top hitters spanned the classes as four of the top five are back for 2026.
5-8 | Committed to Missouri
On
a team that featured four hitters with more than 280 kills, Fasavlau
distributed the ball adeptly all season. She ended with 1,001 assists
(8.3 per set) and added 239 digs with a team-high 66 aces.
5-10 | Committed to Santa Clara
The Falcons finished No. 9 in the nation as Gonzales dished out 1,218 assists with five hitters pounding more than 150 kills. She added 106 kills as Torrey Pines went 38-5.
5-11 | Committed to Coastal Carolina
Helped
the Mighty Macs to a 34-5 record as the team was ranked in the MaxPreps
Top 25 for most of the season. She piled up 589 assists (9.3 per set)
as McAuley had seven hitters with more than 70 kills.
6-1 | Committed to Ohio State
Filled
the stat sheet for the War Eagles with 849 assists along with 286 digs,
146 kills, 65 blocks and 61 aces as Woodward Academy went 38-6 and
grabbed the Class AAAAA state title.
The
Scots won their first state title, claiming the Conference 5A Division 1
crown behind Lee’s 1,428 assists. She had an array of six hitters with
more than 100 kills. In the championship, she dished up 38 assists and
10 digs.
Kalea Lee, Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.)
5-9 | Uncommitted
She dished up 365 assists in the Monarchs’ 6-2 system and helped Mater Dei to a 35-5 season with the Open Division title. The championship was the second straight for Lee after winning the prior year with Cathedral Catholic (San Diego).
5-8 | Committed to Kansas State
Had
840 assists for the No. 24 team in the final MaxPreps Top 25. Wood helped the Yellowjackets to a 47-2 mark and fourth straight state title.
The Kansas State commit and has piled up 2,868 assists with her senior
year remaining.
