Louisville (Ky.) Trinity Top100 cornerback Allen Evans thought his recruitment was over. He committed to Louisville back at the 2026 Navy All-American Bowl in January and was thrilled with that decision. However, things have changed.
On Friday, the 6-2, 182-pounder, who is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 76 overall player in the class of 2027, had a change of heart and flipped his commitment to the Vanderbilt Commodores. Evans, 247Sports’ No. 9 overall cornerback and No. 2 recruit in the state of Kentucky, will play for head coach Clark Lea in Nashville. He couldn’t be more fired up.
So, what went into that decision? Why is he excited to play for the Commodores? What can Vandy fans expect out of him?
Here is what he told 247Sports.
