As per reports, the Dillon Danis vs. Mike Perry bout will be a 170-pound clash under the Dual: Arena banner. This striker vs. grappler matchup will serve as the headliner bout for the Dual: Arena Inaugural event.
What else do we know about the Dual: Arena 1 main event: Mike Perry vs. Dillon Danis
As per MMA Fighting’s Mike Heck, Dual Arena 1 will be a hybrid card. It will feature MMA, boxing, and kickboxing bouts. Heck has also revealed that the August 29 card will also have:
“Some influencer bouts… and a few [other] UFC vets [competing]”
All the fights will be contested inside a ring and not a cage.
Mike Perry, BKFC’s King of Violence, is undefeated with a 6-0 record in the bare-knuckle promotion and boasts a pro-MMA record of (15-8). Earlier this year, Perry returned to MMA after a five-year hiatus and defeated Nate Diaz via Round 2 TKO at MVP MMA 1. The bout was a one-sided affair as “Platinum” battered and bloodied Diaz up in no time and won by TKO once the Stockton native’s corner decided to stop the bout at the end of round 2 to prevent Diaz from taking further punishment.
Dillon Danis, on the other hand, boasts a pro-MMA record of 2-0. He last competed at Misfits 22: Ring of Thrones (pro exhibition bout) against Warren Spencer, which he won by submission in just 15 seconds to capture the Misfits MMA light heavyweight championship.
Danis and Perry had agreed to fight in 2023. BKFC president David Feldman was also game to book a Perry vs. Danis bout in 2024. Later that year, there were also rumors that the two could lock horns under the Misfits MMA banner.
