CBS college football transfer portal analyst Cooper Petagna unveiled his updated and finalized rankings for the 2026 class Wednesday, with just seven players earning first-round NFL Draft grades. LSU quarterback Sam Leavitt, the No. 1 overall transfer this offseason, headlined a group of three Tigers who made the cut.

This offseason’s transfer portal class is arguably the most talented in the portal era. Only three players earned first-round NFL Draft grades last offseason, compared to six in 2024. The wide receiver group stands out as one of the best the portal has ever seen.

Texas and several other College Football Playoff hopefuls added Day 1 NFL Draft talent this offseason. A number of them are also viewed as potential Heisman Trophy candidates for the 2026 season.
